About MITech

It All Started with Peanuts.

In the 1970s and 80s, three visionary brothers — René, Marcel, and Jacques Cohen-Dumani — built a successful global business trading peanuts. But beyond the trade itself, they saw a deeper challenge: the manual, error-prone processes that slowed operations and wasted time.

In 1984, with a deep understanding of global trade and a drive to simplify complexity, they founded MIT — the first Swiss-based software company dedicated to Trade Finance. Their goal: automate the tedious, streamline the paper-heavy, and empower banks with smarter tools.

The first version of CREDOC, MIT’s flagship Trade Finance

system, was born

— sold initially with hardware, at a time when most banks lacked IT infrastructure. As computing spread rapidly in the 1990s and 2000s, so did MIT, evolving CREDOC through close collaboration with clients and industry experts.

In the 2010s, MIT launched TRAC, a powerful solution for managing Middle Office operations, which quickly became a global reference.

By 2020, a new generation stepped in. Paul and Michael Cohen-Dumani took the reins, continuing the family legacy under a new name: MITech.

Today, MITech remains true to its origins — delivering intuitive, integrated, and efficient solutions that drive real productivity and growth for banks worldwide.
